WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?

WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?

How we ignored what was happening in front of the eyes of the whole world. How beautifully silenced or silenced we are, isn't it?

WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?

In one place, people's houses are destroyed, while in another place, people are waiting in line to buy the latest model phone...

In one place there are people who smile despite their pain and say that they are satisfied with their situation, in another place there is a generation that grows up not satisfied with what they have...

We are people living in the same period.

We experience different emotions in different frames in the same period. When you watch it on television, it seems like a movie that is played behind the screen. It has now become so normalized that it has even become newsworthy. We don't care when we see it as if this is the normal of life.

WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?

7-year-old Ayşe being forced to be both mother and father to her 3-year-old brother Osman...

The painful sound a mother makes when she will never see her child again...

On the other hand, those people who wake up to clean air and live comfortably, only wondering “What should I wear in the morning, should I drink coffee or tea?”

Someone can smile even as they try to cope with their pain in the uncertainty of the future... Someone can complain in the face of opportunities.

How could these differences be?

How can a person still stand upright against oppression?

In ancient times, people with many horses used an interesting method to separate Arabian horses from the rest of the herd. All the horses would be starved and dehydrated and subjected to a certain amount of violence. After a while, when food and drink were put out, the non-Arab horses would come running, but the Arab horses would not compromise their pride and would not eat the food of the people who beat them at the expense of starvation.

Today, worse things are being done to human beings. They are displaced from their homes, subjected to violence, and lose their lives, not even children or the elderly, for no fault of their own.

Does one seek help from one's own oppressor?  If a human being had the will to help, would he commit that cruelty?

WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?

So, how much do we take this stance?

Do we think of ourselves as having a share in their pain?

If the issue is to show your side like an ant, then do we know who we are making money and supporting with our shopping?

Have we ever thought about whether we can at least do this?

Every truth carries a price in its saddlebag.

Most people reject the truth because they don't want to pay that price.

So one magnifies the costs one will surely face...
